: The Left parties had already aligned with AIADMK in Tamil Nadu to face the coming Lok Sabha polls would not support any party with a communal colour, CPI (M) A Soundararajan said today.
"Under no circumstances, will CPI(M) have an alliance with a communal party. We would be for non Congress and non BJP.... We have decided we will support AIADMK for the Lok Sabha polls" he said during a discussion in the assembly.
His intervention came when Congress legislator Vijayadharani attacked the Left and asked if they would stick to their principles even if there was a change in the political situation.

DMDK members thumped desks in support of Congress' legislators, to which the ministers' turned to DMDK and recalled their meeting with the Prime Minister and said it was only for alliance talks.
