CPI today said it will chalk out a strategy during its coming all-India congress to bring on a single platform like-minded parties and others for a united struggle against the Narendra Modi government.
Dubbing the Modi government 'anti-dalit, anti-minority', CPI General Secretary G Sudhakar Reddy said a united struggle was required to save the nation.
During the four-day CPI congress to be held in Kollam, the party will chalk out the strategy to bring on a single platform like-minded parties, intellectuals, Dalits and people from social movement, he told reporters here.
He said at present the struggle was fought individually and separately by various organisations, without having much effect.
"The need of the hour is coordination between all the secular and democratic forces to carry out a united struggle," he added.
Asked whether this would reflect in forming a larger alliance for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Reddy made it clear that coming together for a common cause need not be a future alliance.

Expressing serious concern over incidents of rape and attacks of Dalits in BJP-ruled states, Reddy said the Centre's attitude was reflected in Union Minister Santosh Gangwar's remarks that rape has been reported in few places and only the media has been promoting it.
