CPI (M) MLA M Y Tarigami today condemned the beheading of a youth in the Kashmir valley by terrorists, saying it was sheer brutality.
Earlier in the day, police recovered the headless body of a man, who was abducted by Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants from Bandipora district of north Kashmir on Wednesday night.
The body of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat (25) was found on the periphery of Hajin in Bandipora, senior superintendent of police (SSP), Bandipora, Sheikh Zulfikar, said.
Zulfikar said the body of Manzoor, who was abducted on the intervening night of April 4 and 5, was left headless by militants.
"There are no sufficient words to condemn such brutality," Tarigami said.
"Brutality is brutality in whatever form it happens and by whomsoever and wherever it takes place. It must be condemned in strongest terms," he said.
