CPIM MLA dies

Ruling CPI(M) MLA Sudhir Das has
died following a cardiac arrest at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
Das died in the hospital yesterday, party functionaries said.
He was 64. He is survived by his wife Anima, one son and one daughter.
Tripura assembly was today adjourned by the Speaker Ramendra Nath for the day after reading out an obituary.
Das first became MLA in 1993 and won elections for five consecutive terms.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that his death was an irreparable loss for the party.
