The veteran CPI(M) leader passed away today in Kolkata due to old age related ailments. He was 85.
"The politburo of expresses deep grief at passing away of Huda, a senior leader of the party and its kisan (farmers') movement. He selflessly worked throughout his life for upliftment of Indian people adhering to Marxist-Leninist worldview.
"In his death, the communist and peasants' movement have suffered a big loss," CPI(M) said in a statement.
Huda became a member of Central Kisan Council in 1967 and continued in the same position till he breathed his last.

He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 1973 from Silchar constituency and member of Legislative Assembly of the Northeastern state for one term.
Huda became a member of Assam state committee of CPI (M) in 1970 and state secretariat in 1978.
The ex-MP also worked as finance secretary of All India Kisan Sabha, framers' wing of CPI (M), from 2006 to 2013.
Huda was jailed a "number of times" and spent two years and eight months in prison, the party said.
Huda's wife had passed away few years back and he had no children.
