"The contractual nature of recruitment is not only anti-teacher but also totally against the education sector," CPI (M) state secretary Inderjit Singh said in a press release today.
Singh demanded withdrawal of the recruitment policy at the earliest.
"One of the most objectionable clause relates to the denial of joining for women who happen to be over three months pregnant," he said.
Slamming the five-year contract system, he questioned the policy of continuously engaging teachers on contract basis for the permanent nature of work.
"Bureaucracy in Haryana has been left free to take arbitrary decisions with the sole motive of facilitating private capital in education sector," he said.
72,000 posts of teachers are lying vacant in Haryana, he added. PTI Corr KAS
