The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has constituted a seven-member core group to prepare a roadmap for implementation of a five-year "vision document" as directed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
An official said the core group, chaired by Additional Director General (training & research) M K Sharma, has been asked to submit its report within 15 days.
According to the CPWD,in a recent meeting with secretaries, the prime minister directed that every ministry will prepare a five-year Vision Document (STVD) within a month.
As per the PM's directives sent to all ministries, every ministry will prepare a 21-day impactful agenda and it will ensure cabinet approval, if needed, minister's approval, financial arrangement and ensure that impact is achieved in 100 days.
"The core group will study the PM's directives and detail out action taken so far.
"It will also suggest a roadmap with clear action plan indicating specific milestones and timelines on the issues on which action is to be taken in future," the official said.

Among the senior officers included as members of group are C K Verma, lndu Gural Chaudhary, Harish Kumar, Naimuddin, Manish Kumar and Rajesh Kumar.
"Core group has been asked to apprise the progress to Director General Prabhakar Singh on a daily basis to ensure the preparation of a five-year vision document," official said.
The CPWD, which comes under the Union Housing and Urban Affairs (HUA) Ministry, is the prime construction agency of central government.
Following the directives for five-year vision document by Prime Minister, HUA has nominated its Additional Secretary Sanjay Murthy as nodal officer to prepare the roadmap for the vision document at the ministry level.
The CPWD also looks after maintenance of central government buildings and erecting of fences on the country's international borders, among others.
It also carries out projects in foreign countries as part of friendship programmes with India.
