The authorities said that since these trains are halted at different stations since this morning, so many passengers may be without food.
"Central Railway have given platform stoppages at Thane and Kalyan for all these trains. But about 100-200 passengers per train are still stranded inside these trains," said a statement issued by CR.
Narendra Patil, chief PRO of CR has appealed to various NGO's and Voluntary Organisations to come out and help the stranded passengers.
Two trains - 11020 Bhubaneshwar-Mumbai Konark Express and 16382 Kanyakumari-Mumbai Express were halted at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus while 12810 Howrah-Mumbai Mail via Nagpur and 12702 Hyderabad-Mumbai Hussain Sagar Express were halted at the Dadar station, a CR statement said.

11306 Solapur-Mumbai Express and 11402 Nagpur-Mumbai Nandigram Express were halted at Matunga station while 11006 Puducherry-Dadar Chalukya Express was halted at Kurla station.
12112 Amravati-Mumbai Express and 12106 Gondia-Mumbai Vidarbha Express were stuck at Vidyavihar station, it added.
Moreover, 17058 Secunderabad-Mumbai Devgiri Express, 12116 Solapur-Mumbai Siddeshwar Express, 12290 Nagpur-Mumbai Duranto Express were stuck at Ghatkopar station and 17412 Kolhapur-Mumbai Mahalaxmi Express was halted at Vikhroli station.
"Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, is keeping active watch and directing relief operations continuously. At some places 18 inches of water is still on railway tracks which is making it difficult to move the trains," it further said.
