A bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw asked Delhi government to take decision on Dwarka Bar Association's plea against the Lieutenant Governor's (LG) July 2014 decision to create eleven districts instead of nine existing ones.
The bench asked the Delhi government to consider a report submitted by a committee revived by the court and take a decision on or before March 31, 2015.
The government in July 2014 held the recommendations of the committee in abeyance and directed constitution of a fresh committee.
This order was today set aside by the high court which directed the government to "now consider the report submitted by the revived Committee and to take a decision thereon on or before March 31, 2015".
