Cricket match, felicitation for blind youth

Blind youngsters partcipated in a cricket match in the city today and 11 sightless students were felicitated for scoring above 80 per cent in their secondary and higher secondary examinations.
The cricket match, participated by four teams of blind youths was organised by Akhil Bharatiya Dristihin Kalyan Sangha.
Sangha president Dilip Kumar Ghosh said the organisation not only worked for the blind but also for the partially sightless.
The organisation was working to establish and equip libraries with books written in Braille and promote printing press for such books.
It was also running training centres for the blind to teach them tailoring, knitting, msking candles and incense sticks and market the products, he added.
