Chirag, who was born and brought up in Chandigarh, started training for the game before the acting bug bit him following which he landed various ads and films down South.
He has done a lot of advertisements with A-listers like Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and star cricketer Virat Kohli and others.
'Million Dollar Arm', which released on May 10, is a biographical sports drama, directed by Craig Gillespie. It also stars Indian actors Suraj Sharma of Ang Lee's 'Life of Pi' and Pitobash Tripathy of 'Shor in the City' fame.
Chirag said he did not do much preparation for the role and added, "The action director had called me to check my abilities of throwing a ball, but as soon as he saw my ability, he was full of praise for me. He complimented me. I then told him that I am a trained cricketer and was trained under Yograj Singh (Yuvraj Singh's father) in Chandigarh," he said.
"The film industry has opened its arms for everyone. It does not make a difference whether you are a star kid or not. What matters is to be at right place at the right time and have faith in your talent," he said.
Chirag was earlier seen in A R Murgadoss's Tamil flick 'Thuppaki'. In Hindi version of the film, 'Holiday', he will be seen playing role of an army officer.
