The accused have been identified as Naresh Goyal (49), Ashish Aggarwal (30), Murtaja (28), Ran Singh (47) and Naveen Rathore (35).
The police have recovered around 2.5 kg highly-adulterated ghee from their possession, said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
During interrogation of the arrested persons, it turned out that they were working overtime in view of the festive season starting with Navratri and lasts till Diwali, said a police official.
The accused have been booked under IPC sections 420, 120B, 272 and 273. Further investigation is underway, the official added.

During interrogation, Aggarwal told the police that he had purchased adulterated desi ghee from one Naresh Goyal who runs a factory of manufacturing adulterated ghee from DDA flats in Paschim Vihar area, said the official.
Goyal was also arrested and huge quantity of adulterated desi ghee- in the fake packaging of Milk Food, Madhusudan and Mother Dairy brands- was recovered from his factory unit.
Naresh Goyal is in the business of edible oils. In order to make quick easy money, he set up a manufacturing unit at his DDA LIG flat at Paschim Vihar and started manufacturing adulterated desi ghee by mixing refined and dalda in desi ghee of different brands, said the official.
Ashish Aggarwal used to procure adulterated Desi Ghee for supplying to the retailers.
Murtaja is involved in supplying of duplicate packaging materials and accused Ran Singh and Naveen Rathore are indulged in printing of these duplicate packaging materials in their printing press, the official added.
