The crime branch, in its charge sheet filed before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Satish Kumar Arora, named as accused Bindapur Police Station head constable Bhoop Singh, constables Rajesh Yadav, Rajesh Solanki, Uttam, Sudhir and Arvind, who are presently in judicial custody.
It alleged in the charge sheet that on May 26 this year, the six policemen, with a common intention, had abducted 30-year-old Manoj from Uttam Nagar area and illegally confined him at an old building of Bindapur Police Station in south west Delhi where he was badly tortured causing his death.
They have been charge sheeted for the offences of murder, abduction with an intent to secretly confine him, destruction of evidence and common intention.
"It is, therefore, requested that cited witnesses (in the charge sheet) may be called through summons and the accused (cops)... Namely HC Bhoop Singh, constables Arvind, Rajesh Yadav, Rajesh Solanki, Uttam and Sudhir who are presently running in judicial custody be called through production warrant and be tried for offences under sections 365, 302, 201 and 34 of the IPC," the charge sheet said.
