Raj Kumar was apprehended from Rajdhani Park area in Nangloi yesterday during a police checking, V Renganathan, Additional Commissioner of Police (West), said.
A country-made firearm was recovered from his house.
Kumar's brother was arrested in April this year while trying to snatch a gold chain from a woman in Nilothi. Kumar had managed to escape then.
"He is involved in at least 48 incidents of snatching and other cases and is facing charges under the Arms Act," Renganathan said.
