Vaishali Superintendent of Police (SP) Rakesh Kumar said the incident happened near Gautam Gas Agency under Bhagwanpur police station in the district.
"The manager identified as Mithilesh Kumar came out from the gas agency with a bag containing the cash and was on his way to bank to deposit it. Three criminals came on a motorcycle and snatched the bag at gunpoint," the SP said.
The SP said an FIR has been lodged and raids are being conducted to arrest the culprits.
