Volunteers of Gujarat State Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Forest Department and Wildlife Rescue Team captured it.
It is now kept in a cage at the Forest Department's office in Kareli Bag, said G Chauhan, a forest official.
Locals had spotted the crocodile two months ago and alerted the authorities, however it evaded capture.
With the mercury touching 40 degrees Celsius, much of the nullah dried up in the last couple of weeks and with receding water the crocodile was sighted again, said Raju Bhavsar of GSPCA.
