Crocodiles maul shepherd to death in MP river

Crocodiles attacked and killed a 35-year-old shepherd in the Jamni River near here in Madhya Pradesh, police said today.
The body of the deceased, identified only as Baghpal, was today found floating in the river.
Baghpal had gone missing after he took a pack of sheep for grazing yesterday near the river, some 75km from here under Simra Police Station area.
After he didn't return home, his family members lodged a missing complaint with us, said Simra Police Station Sub- Inspector Pankaj Mudgal.
"We today found his body floating in the river water with some parts missing. We found his clothes on the ground nearby," he added.
"The body had marks indicating crocodiles had mauled him. According to our information, Neelghat (bank) of Jamni is home to 7-8 crocodiles," Mudgal said.
