The irate crowd of around 15-20 people also vandalised a part of the hospital, said police.
"A boy with an injured hand was brought to the hospital for treatment. While the doctor was attending him there was an altercation between the patient's father and the doctor over the manner in which saline was to be administered," DCP (Zone-I) Abhishek Trimukhi said.
"The argument escalated into a fight and a group of around 15-20 people ransacked the hospital and also manhandled the doctors," the official said, adding they later fled the spot.
On March 22 nearly 40,000 doctors in Maharashtra had gone on strike to support their colleagues agitating over frequent attacks and the lack of security in the government hospitals.
The strike was triggered after attack on a resident doctor at Dhule on March 14.
The doctors had later resumed work after five days following assurance from government that adequate steps will be taken to ensure their safety while on duty.
