CRPF officer conveys high regards to woman who delivered baby

Special Director General of CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir zone, S N Shrivastava, visited the Army hospital here today and met the wife of a soldier who delivered a baby after being injured in the terror attack on Sunjuwan army camp.
"The officer blessed the baby and presented a bouquet to the woman, Shahzada Khan, as a token of solidarity to her on behalf of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh," a CRPF spokesman said.
He appreciated the skills and efforts of the doctors and medical staff of the hospital on the way they handled the situation successfully and saved the life of the woman and also brought her daughter to this world.

A group of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists stormed into the residential quarters at the sprawling army camp at Sunjuwan on Saturday and killed seven persons including six soldiers and injured 10 others including six women and children.
Three terrorists were killed in the retaliatory action.
The pregnant woman, wife of Rifleman Nazir Ahmed, was seriously injured and was evacuated to hospital during the gunfight. She then gave birth to a healthy girl child.
As a mark of respect towards this brave woman and to bless the new born baby, the spokesman said, Shrivastava met Khan at the hospital on behalf of the Union Home Minister. He conveyed the deep appreciation for the bravery shown by her, the spokesperson said.

Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, shortly after arriving here yesterday, had also visited the hospital and met the injured including Khan.
