He appreciated the skills and efforts of the doctors and medical staff of the hospital on the way they handled the situation successfully and saved the life of the woman and also brought her daughter to this world.

The pregnant woman, wife of Rifleman Nazir Ahmed, was seriously injured and was evacuated to hospital during the gunfight. She then gave birth to a healthy girl child.
As a mark of respect towards this brave woman and to bless the new born baby, the spokesman said, Shrivastava met Khan at the hospital on behalf of the Union Home Minister. He conveyed the deep appreciation for the bravery shown by her, the spokesperson said.
