Crude bombs kept hidden in a house in Pakur district exploded on Saturday but there was no report of any casualty, police said.
The explosion took place in a house of Keklamari village bordering West Bengal, sources said adding that the village chowkidar immediately informed the matter to the police.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Ashok Kumar Singh, the officer-in-charge of the Muffasil police station Babubanshi Sao rushed to the spot to investigate the incident.
"We are investigating the incident in all possible aspects," Singh told newsmen.
There was no report of any casualty in the explosion, the police said.
Around three dozen crude bombs were suspected to have been kept hidden in the house, he said.
The owner of the house, Akhtar-ul-Sheikh was reported at large and police have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
