Crude oil futures fell by 0.32% today to Rs 6,138 per barrel as speculators trimmed positions amid a weakening trend in Asian markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in March fell by Rs 20, or 0.32%, to Rs 5,344 per barrel in 103 lots.
Similarly, oil for February delivery moved down by Rs 18, or 0.29%, to Rs 6,138 per barrel in 2,062 lots.
Meanwhile, crude oil for March delivery eased seven cents to $98.16 a barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange.

The trading sentiment turned weak after crude oil prices declined in thin Asian trade as investors booked profits, marketmen said.
