Amid pick up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, crude palm oil prices were up by 0.71 per cent to Rs 525.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in far-month April rose by Rs 3.70, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 525.90 per 10 kg, in a business turnover of 612 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 3.20, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 517.60 per 10 kg in 314 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders, driven by pick up in demand in the spot markets amid restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly attributed the rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
