Crude palm oil futures slide 0.65 pc on profit-booking
Press Trust of India New Delhi Crude palm oil prices fell by 0.65 per cent to Rs 500.60 per 10 kg in futures trade in evening session today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid fall in demand in spot market.
The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Id-Ul Fitr'.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in July eased by Rs 3.30 or 0.65 per cent to Rs 500.60 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 158 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August traded lower by Rs 2.80 or 0.55 per cent to Rs 497.60 per 10 kg in 41 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels, fall in demand in the spot market mainly influenced crude palm oil prices.
