Crude palm oil prices declined by 0.70% to Rs 484.70 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants booked profits, driven by easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in March fell by Rs 3.40, or 0.70%, to Rs 484.70 per 10 kg, in a business turnover of 234 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in far-month April traded lower by Rs 3.30, or 0.67%, to Rs 488 per 10 kg in 29 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by traders at existing levels, decline in demand in the spot market against ample stocks, influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
