"CTTC has supplied components like dynamically tuned gyroscopes, solar array drive assembly, momentum wheel assembly and ultrasonic liquid level sensor," CTTC Managing Director Sibasis Maity said.
Bhubaneswar-based CTTE, under the Development Commissioner of MSME, also supplied inertial navigation system parts, mono propellant latch valve items and bi propellant latch valve to ISRO, the pioneer of this low cost mission which placed the country in the elite club along with USA, Russia and Europe, he said.
Maity in a statement said the dynamically-tuned gyroscopes are the most vital components as it provides direction to the satellite and the solar array drive assembly helped to keep the solar panel perpendicular to sunrays for energy. The advanced inertial navigation system supplied by CTTC is a navigation aid to the spacecraft.
Other components supplied by CTTC put to use in MOM include ultrasonic liquid sensor head for monitoring the fuel level and fill and drain valve system used to control and regulate its fuel flow to various parts of the shuttle.
CTTC, Bhubaneswar had supplied critical hardware for geo-synchronous satellite launch vehicle, Chandrayaan 1 in 2008 and the 100th space mission. HAL, DRDO and Aeronautical Development Agency had joined hands with CTTC for developing various high precision components for the aerospace sector, he added.
