"We are waiting for the report (of a three-member committee). We expect to get the report by 8 am tomorrow and by afternoon a decision will be taken," CUJ Vice Chancellor Nand Kumar Yadav told PTI.
"Yes," he said when asked whether her suspension would continue till then.
On the Raj Bhavan's denial of media reports that the action against Bhattacharya was in consequence of the Governor reportedly 'cancelling' her visit as chief guest to mark the 140th anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel following the reported invitation to a JNU professor, Yadav said, "The word should not be 'cancellation' (of Governor), (instead) 'arrival could not be confirmed'."
In a letter to the vice chancellor of CUJ, S K Satpathy, the Principal Secretary to the Governor, asked the CUJ to mention facts in the suspension letter of Bhattacharya. And make it aware to the media.
Reference of the Governor in the suspension letter of Bhattacharya was regrettable, the release said.
