Jaipur-based startup, CultureAlley will expand its technology and content teams by adding 40 people in the next few months as the userbase of its language learning app, Hello English, grows.
The app, that has over eight million users, helps users learn spoken English, grammar and vocabulary building.
"We understand that learning English can often be a painful experience and according to Census data, only 12-15 per cent people in India can speak English. So, there is a huge potential," Co-founder at CultureAlley Pranshu Bhandari said.
The aim is to have 13-14 million users by March, she said.
"We are also expanding the number of modules we offer to cater to the requirements of learners across beginners, intermediate and advanced levels," she added.
Hello English offers 250 levels of interactive levels of grammar and conversations. Users can learn English speaking from other languages like Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Kannada, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati and Malayalam.
