The curfew imposed in Kishtwar district following killing of senior RSS functionary Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO remained in force for the third consecutive day Thursday.
Security personnel were deployed for strict enforcement of law and order in the district.
Police have picked up several over ground workers (OGWs) for interrogation in connection with the killing of Sharma and his PSO by terrorists in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, a senior police officer said.
"The curfew continues to remain in force in Kishtwar for third consecutive day today. There is strict enforcement of curfew," Kishtwar Deputy Commissioner A S Rana told PTI.
Rana said there was no report of any untoward incident from anywhere in the district and strict vigilance was being maintained in all sensitive areas of the district.
Sharma and his security guard were killed on Tuesday when a militant opened fire inside a health centre in Kishtwar town, prompting authorities to impose curfew.
"We have picked up some people, mostly known as over ground workers (OGWs). They are being interrogated," the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu zone, M K Sinha told reporters on the sidelines of his visit to a polling station to oversee the security arrangements.
