Most of the shops remained closed today, even though the district administration had relaxed curfew for ten hours.

The traders alleged that innocent people, including several traders, were falsely implicated in the riots.

"We demand a judicial probe into the incident. Unless names of innocent people are withdrawn, market would not open, Senior Vice president of Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal Ravi Kant Garg said.

A 21-member trader committee comprising people of both the communities have been formed to look into the matter, he said.

District Magistrate Alok Tewari said, "Efforts are on to persuade traders to open their shops. We are sure that shortly traders would open their shops during curfew relaxation."

Four persons were killed and 16 others injured after communal clashes broke out in Kosi Kalan, about 45 km from Mathura, on Friday, reportedly after a pedestrian used water meant for some religious purpose.
