Curfew relaxed as situation returns to normal in Bareily

Divisional commissioner K Ram Mohan Rao said that the curfew was relaxed from 11 am to 3 pm in Bareilly and Aonla and situation was totally peaceful.

He said that on the request of the administration, posts office remained open for the day and the banks have been requested to open tomorrow.

Meanwhile, IG Devendra Singh Chauhan said that so far 396 people have been arrested in connection with clashes in Bareilly and Aonla.

He said elaborate security arrangements would be made for 'kanwar yatra' on Monday and 'jal bhishek' at Shiva temples.

Three persons were killed in clashes in Bareilly and Aonla on Sunday and Monday after which curfew was clamped.
