With the wedding season just around the corner, top notch designers and stylists are geared up to showcase latest couture and personalised gifts, catering to a growing penchant for customised weddings in the country, at an upcoming exhibition here.
From styling bridal couture to deciding on personalised gifts for guests, wedding consultations have furthered the estimated USD 25.5 billion wedding industry that has been pegged to grow at an annual rate of 20-25 per cent.
Beginning here on August 9, the the three-day 'Treasury of Trousseau' exhibition is set to unveil the latest bridal couture by Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma, Manav Gangwani, Rina Dhaka and Falguni along with other designers.
"Wedding attire and food are the most important aspects of a wedding, while bridal wear is the centre of attention. The idea behind 'Treasury of Trousseau' is to help people plan their dream wedding," says Dinaz Madhukar, Senior Vice President of DLF Emporio, the venue for the show.
Be it trousseau shopping or choosing a honeymoon destination or even picking a gift for the partner- stylists Rhea Kapoor, Niharika Khan and Gautam Kalra have been lined up to give their suggestions.
The show also marks the step up of Rhea, the personal stylist of Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor, into professional fashion styling.
Rhea believes wedding consultations would assist people in organising a perfect wedding ceremony.

"Weddings are all about what you feel, so exquisite couture, incredible jewellery helps. Styling is like playing 'dress-up' wherein I try to help the bride achieve her signature style," Rhea told PTI.
The stylist considers comfortable shoes and jewellery indispensable for brides.
"Neon colours look gorgeous when worn by the bride during sangeet or mehendi. These colours create a balance between trendy and traditional," says Rhea.
Niharika Khan, best known for her designs in films "Rock On!" and "The Dirty Picture" also considers wedding consultation "a must" for to-be-weds.
"A bride is inundated by options, a stylist can edit her options and give an accurate judgement of silhouette to body types and colours," says Niharika.
A coterie of uber-luxe, international and Indian brands with bridal wear, groom's wear, wedding trousseau, jewellery, gifting and wedding invitations options are available at the event, which also offers custom-made matches of international luxury brands to blend with Indian bridal wear.
Indian fashion labels like Raghavendra Rathore, Gaurav Gupta, Suneet Varma, Manish Malhotra, Anju Modi and Malini Ramani are slated to be shown with international luxury brands such as Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Fendi.
