The agency told the court that a request for extradition of the accused persons have already been sent to the Ministry of External Affairs for replaying it to Swiss authorities and the Indian Embassy in Berne was also looking into the matter.
The court had earlier issued summons to Swiss Timing's General Manager Christophe Berthaud, Sales and Marketing Manager S Chianese and Multi Sports Events and Sales Manager J Spiri for their alleged involvement in the graft case in which former Congress MP Suresh Kalmadi and others are facing trial.
"Head Investigating Officer submits that request for extradition of the accused persons has already been sent to the Ministry of External Affairs for onward transmission to Swiss Authorities. CBI is pursuing the matter through Interpol and Indian Embassy at Berne is pursuing the matter with Swiss Authorities," Special CBI Judge Madhu Jain said.
"Further report will be submitted in the court in due course for which at least one month time may be granted. Request allowed. Put up on October 29, 2014 for filing of further status report regarding extradition of accused persons by CBI," the judge said.
The court had earlier framed charges of cheating and conspiracy against Swiss Timing and said the record of the case "prima facie" suggested that there were "incriminating evidence about the involvement" of its three officials in the case.
