CBI is understood to have said in its charge sheet that the then Deputy Director General of Commonwealth Games Organising Committee Sajnay Mohindroo placed on record forged quotations from two companies to justify the work given to AM Films UK Limited as the lowest bidder among them.
Mohindroo allegedly placed on record fraudulent quotations from Movietech London and 3 Dots Vision Limited at higher rates to justify that Ashish Patel owned AM Films UK Limited was the lowest bidder, CBI sources said today.
They said the response of agency's judicial requests received from British authorities has revealed that Movietech London and 3 Dots Vision Limited had been dissolved in 1993 and 1991 repectively.
CBI sources said the officials of Movietech told Metropolitan Police that they had never given any quotation for the Commonwealth Games, the 3 Dots Vision could not be traced by them.
The agency during its probe found that Organising Committee officials prepared fake minutes of a meeting where it was decided that AM Films being the lowest bidder be allotted the contract, they said.
The agency had found that former treasurer of the OC M Jeychandran who was a signatory to the purported meeting, shown to be held on October 23, 2009, was allegedly not in London on that day and reached there only four days later i.E. October 27, 2009.
They said the probe had shown that Director General T S Darbari was also instrumental in preparing forged minutes. More
