"Promotion of eco-friendly and pollution-free environment is our objective and we want to spread the message to the whole world," said Gaurav Bhalla, the spearhead of the campaign.
"The cyclists, which includes school children, labourers and volunteers from NGOs, joined the campaign," Bhalla said.
"A stretch of about 10 kilometres was allotted to form the cycle chain on National Highway 1," he said.
The campaign was organised under the aegis of NGO JCI Phagwara Elite Go Green Squad.
