The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Kumar (31),hailing from Uttar Pradesh and presently living in Mandi Gobindgarh.
Police said Kumar, who worked at an industrial unit, was returning from duty when his cycle was hit by a SUV.
The car occupants fled, they said.
Kumar wastaken to Civil Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh where doctors declared him brought dead.
The Mandi Gobindgarh police has registered a case under relevant provisions of the law, officials said.
