Cygnett ropes in US hospitality brand Jameson Inn in India

Cygnett Hotels, a hospitality management company, today unveiled US budget hotel brand Jameson Inn in the city which will be the entry point of the American hospitality chain in India.
"We have introduced Jameson Inn brand in the country with our first management contract with Shiraz hotels which was Tulip Inn previously," Cygnett Hotels MD & CEO Sarbendra Sarkar said here today.
He said that the Jameson group of hotels have close to 200 properties under five categories under their management.

New Power & Blowing Station: A new feather in RSP's cap * A new state-of-the-art Power and Blowing Station (PBS) has been installed under current phase of modernisation and expansion of Rourkela Steel Plant as a part of the new Blast Furnace-5 Complex.
The unit, inaugurated by SAIL Chairman C S Verma last week, is all set to take RSP to newer success, a release from RSP said today.

This PBS would cater to the air blast requirement of the new 4060 m3 Blast Furnace-5 as well as work as a captive power plant to meet additional power requirement of new units under expansion plan. The new PBS would also supply process steam and Demineralised water to the new units like Blast Furnace-5 and Cove Ovens Battery-6.

AIE to operate some services from and to Sharjah * Budget carrier Air India Express will be operating some of its services from and to Sharjah airport instead of Dubai from tomorrow to July 20 due to partial closure of Dubai airport runway.
While no flights from Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram have been affected, one flight from Kozhikode, operating on Sundays will be operating to and from Sharjah, an AIE press release said.
IX 823/IX 824 - Daily flights will be operating from Mangalore to Sharjah and IX 387/IX 388 - on Sundays only - will be operating on Mangalore-Sharjah route.

HAL sets-up Chair at IIT Kharagpur
* Indian aerospace major HAL today said it has set-up a Faculty Chair at IIT, Kharagpur to give thrust on R&D and academic work in new and emerging technologies in aerospace industry.
In a novel initiative to conduct applied research and tackle multi-disciplinary problems in the field of aerospace technology and its applications, HAL has entered into collaboration with IIT Kharagpur to set up a Faculty Chair, the company said in a release.
The Chair will be set up at the department of Aerospace Engineering, it added.
