Cylces for high school girls students next year : Mamata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today announced that the government would provide cycles for all girl students studying in class eight to class ten next year.
"A total 40 lakh cycles will be given to girl students across the state next year," she said at a function here.
The state, she said, would allocate more for the development of sports in the state.
Cycles would be given to youths participating in the Sundarban Football Cup as encouragement, Banerjee said giving away prizes to the winning teams of the event.
A total 1114 boys and girls teams from Sundarbans area of North and South 24 Parganas districts particpated in the cup this year.
