Czech delegation meets J-K Guv

A nine-member delegation of Czech Republic led by Karel Schwarzenberg, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of Chamber of Deputies, called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation discussed matters of mutual interest to India and the Czech Republic and establishment of strong economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Chairman of the delegation observed that the purpose of their visit was to acquaint themselves with rich diversity of India.
During the delegation's discussions with the Governor it was suggested that the possible areas of economic cooperation could include harnessing of vast hydropower potential, solid waste management, tourism promotion and civil aviation.
The delegation comprised Pavel Holik, Vice-Chairman of Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee; Leo Luzar, Chairman of Parliamentary Subcommittee for External Economic Relations; Karel Rais, Chairman of Parliamentary Subcommittee for Development Cooperation.
Rom Kostrica, Member of Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee; Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of Czech Republic of India; Roman Masarik, Deputy Head of Mission of Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi; Zuzana Putnarova, Secretary of Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee and Silvie Ginterova.
