Manohar, wanted in connection with several cases of dacoities, was arrested from Amingaon in Kamrup Rural district this morning following a tip-off.
Police said Hussain was also involved in an incident in February this year when miscreants had fired two bullets on Barpeta-based businessman Anil Jain, severely injuring him, during a robbery attempt.
Besides, Hussain is also suspected of being the mastermind behind a bank robbery on April 23 at the Central Bank of India's Ghograpar branch. Over Rs seven lakh had been looted by robbers during the incident.
Police are continuing Hussain's interrogation. PTI cor PPB
