The accused also opened fire to create panic among the villagers. One of the dacoits was killed in the firing while another was caught by the villagers when police reached the spot, police said.
"Six armed drunken dacoits entered the village in Karanpur area and beat the men. They allegedly raped two married women.
"When police reached the village, one of the dacoits was lying dead and the other had been caught by the villagers," SP Karauli Yogesh Yadav told PTI over phone.
"Two guns were seized from the spot," the SP said, adding, dacoit Dhaniram is being interrogated to ascertain more facts about the incident.
