An upgraded, daily New Delhi- Ludhiana-New Delhi Shatabdi Express train service was today flagged off at Sangrur railway station by local MP Vijay Inder Singla.
The service launched today would be a daily one as opposed to the earlier train with its limited frequency of operation.
"This Shatabdi train, which will now run on a daily basis, is an effort to link Sangrur with other major cities in neighbouring states and within Punjab.
"It would boost movement of people and also help the business community," Singla said on the occasion.
The train will reach Sangrur (from Delhi) at 10.56 A.M. and leave Sangrur (for Delhi) at 5.50 P.M every day.
