A resident of Sanjay Nagar, Sunderpal Yadav was killed while he was on his way to his dairy last night.
Demanding immediate arrest of the assailants, traders in the area have threatened a stir.
Prima facie it appears to be a case of property dispute, police said adding some persons have been detained for questioning.
