Dais caves in during Paswan, Kushwaha felicitation function

Union Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Upendra Kushwaha and three other NDA MPs had a narrow escape when the dais on which they were seated during felicitation function at the Kutchery Maidan in Hajipur came crashing down.
The dais caved in under weight of large number of people bringing down Paswan, Kushwaha and three other NDA MPs - Nityanand Rai (Ujiarpur), Ajay Nishad (Muzaffarpur) and Rama Kishore Singh (Vaishali).
All five distinguished leaders escaped unhurt, the LJP district unit chief Vinod Kumar Rai, who was coordinating the felicitation function for the five NDA MPs, said.

The incident took place while Paswan was speaking and thanking the people of his parliamentary constituency - Hajipur - for electing him to the lower house of Parliament for eighth term.
