The actress' latest project will see her jumping from one popular franchise to another as she swaps out Jakku and "Star Wars" for an as-of-yet unknown role in the dystopian world of Prentisstown from Ness' popular YA book series, reported Digital Spy.
First published in 2008, the novels are set in a dystopian world where there are no women and all living creatures can hear each other's thoughts.
The first book in the trilogy, "The Knife of Never Letting Go", centers on a boy and his dog as they're forced to escape their home and stumble upon a strange and silent girl, which sets him on a journey to find out the truth about the new world.
Ridley is attached to star in the remake of the Israel film "Kolma" with producer Robbie Brenner.
