Dal Khalsa's youth wing to hold protest on Nov 2
Press Trust of India Amritsar Sikh Youth of Punjab (SYP), a youth wing of hardliner Dal Khalsa, will hold a protest rally here on Tuesday against successive governments' alleged failure to deliver justice to 1984 riots victims.
Announcing this, Dal Khalsa spokesman Kanwarpal Singh today said Ardas (prayer) will also be performed at Akal Takht, supreme temporal seat of Sikhs, to pay homage to the victims of the 1984 riots.
SYP activists would stand in queue with placards and flags in hands for a few hours at Bhandari bridge and then march towards Darbar Sahib, he said.
Singh, however, clarified that traffic movement in the city would not be disturbed due to the rally.
The aim of the protest was to shame the rulers of the country as they had failed not only to provide justice, but also to provide a resolution to the Sikh conflict, Singh said.
