The 80-year-old Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader has been at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for what his representatives have called a routine checkup.
He canceled his US appearances for October after Mayo doctors advised him to rest.
His Washington representative, Kaydor Aukatsang, says aside from tomorrow's event the Dalai Lama is resting and has no public events scheduled.
One of the Dalai Lama's secretaries, Chime Rigzin, said over the weekend that he had no health problems and plans to return to Dharamsala, India, on Saturday.
