The Dalai lama, who has been in India since 1959, expressed gratitude to the kindness and hospitality of India for his stay here.
The Dalai lama said he was naughty as a child and very lazy in youth, too lazy to study and usually liked to play.
"May be there is nothing special about me. My life is spent like this and I am one of the 6 or 7 billion people in this world", he said.
Beside the Dalai Lama himself, thousands of Indians, Tibetans and foreigners attended the morning prayer celebrations at the main temple Tsuglagkhang near the spiritual leader's residence.
