The Dalai Lama would attend the festival's inaugural session while Tibetan Prime Minister Lobsang Sangay would grace the closing ceremony on February six, Tibetan Member of Parliament (in exile) Karma Yeshi told reporters here today.
"The festival we hope will bring Tibet closer to the minds of the people of the Northeast, share Buddhist culture and tradition and build a lasting friendship with our brothers and sisters from the region," Yeshi said.
The festival will be organised by a committee headed by Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Tourism and Rural Works Pema Khandu.
A photo exhibition displaying hundreds of rare photographs documenting Tibet's history, culture, religion, early days of exile and the journey from a displaced community to a vibrant democracy would be organised.
