Dalit woman beaten up in Bihar

A dalit woman was beaten up and her house torched by some people on the suspicion of her practising witchcraft at Memdarganj in Nawada district today.
Sanju Devi, wife of Sadan Rajak, was beaten up by the son of the village head and his associates dubbing her a witch, a police official said.
They also burnt down her house, he said.
She was finally rescued by her family members.
A case has been registered against five persons.
