The protestors, who blocked the highway yesterday, claimed Anju was set afire on October 21 by four persons after she was found cutting trees from a jungle, police said.
Case of attempt to murder and Prevention of Atrocities Act (POA) has been registered against Ali Hasan, Jamir, Shamshad and Zakir in connection with her death, they said, adding, they are absconding.
However, according to police, Anju's house caught fire on October 21 in which she sustained burn injuries and succumbed in hospital yesterday.
Security has been beefed up in the village to ease the tension following yesterday's protest.
